t1Robert MacPherson is a professional engineer with 22 years of industry-related real estate development and project management experience. He provides in-depth industry knowledge and a hands-on, solution-oriented approach to real estate development projects. His experience includes development site identification, analysis of project sites, development constraints/opportunities, zoning and generalized future land use, project feasibility, highest and best use, project risk and mitigation evaluation, coordination and expediting of development and planning approvals with municipal, provincial and federal approval agencies, coordinating public engagement and communication, developing and managing project budgets and schedules and project management of planning, engineering, tendering and construction.

Robert, as past President of a large development company in Halifax, has been involved in bringing approximately 10,000 units in over 20 subdivisions in NS and NB including various master planned communities such as Royale Hemlocks, Governors Brook and Sunset Ridge located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Having been involved in various planning exercises, development agreement processes and capital cost charge processes, Robert is well versed in the steps required for approval of master planned projects and delivery of successful developments.

Robert approaches each project from an owner's perspective and identifies strategies for generating support and consensus from the public, approval agencies and political decision makers. He brings insight in defining efficient land use and servicing solutions through his knowledge of subdivision construction practices and market demands. A focused approach on schedule and driving results ensures projects move through approval agencies in a timely fashion.

Robert has provided executive level direction and strategic guidance to a team of experienced professionals who are responsible for the operation and maintenance of sixteen P3 school facilities as well as acting as the liaison with senior Government officials on P3 projects. He was responsible for the operational effectiveness of the property management group and evaluated the financial performance of assets. Robert oversaw the project from start to completion, and led the successful bid and financial close of a 30 year $46 million P-3 project with the Province of New Brunswick for the design, construction, and operation of 2 schools.
